Our first dish was herb and mustard chicken with pistachio crust. We wanted a crispy exterior and didn’t want to lose all of our precious pistachios to the saute pan. First step, dredge the chicken in flour and then dip in mustard mixture and finally in pistachio mixture. Brown in a saute pan with some oil and then finish in the oven while you sit down to salad. The perfect host/hostess!
No dinner is complete without dessert. Why not make something chocolatey??? The individual chocolate truffle tarts are easy and do ahead. Make the crust in the food processor, bake it and then fill with chocolate ganache- bittersweet chocolate melted with hot heavy cream. It sets up nicely in the fridge. Top it off with freshly whipped cream.
