Van Deusen and Associates came to the Short Hills Cooking Studio on September 23 for a team building event. They collaborated on preparing gazpacho, pistachio crusted tilapia, arugula and corn salad and an apple crisp two ways (with and without cherries). They elected to engage in a “firecracker challenge” to create a crostini with a tray of preselected ingredients. Imaginations ran wild and it was a good thing we had the whole super market outside of our door to gather more exotic ingredients. The competition was intense, the judging not easy and lots of fun for all.
